The 2026 Alumni Reading Series

Nobody Loves You Like I Do
by Sophia Min ’27

A Weird Clipped Eulogy by Ved Ganesh ’27

Two play readings directed by Zoë Golub-Sass

The Alumni Reading Series is a continuation of the MIT Playwrights Lab, a first-of-its-kind collaboration between MIT student playwrights and professional theater artists. Started as a weekend-long event in 2017, the Lab has now grown into a multi-week festival of staged readings featuring the work of the writers enrolled in the Playwrights Lab (21T.355/21T.555) subject.

Each writer in the subject develops a script over the course of the semester which culminates in a collaboration between a professional director and actors on a public staged reading of the play. Student plays featured in the Lab have gone on to further development at MIT through the Alumni Reading Series and at professional theaters in Boston and beyond.
