Support Theater at MIT
By supporting MIT Theater, you help ensure that artistic creation, live performance, and cognitive exploration remain central to the fabric of an MIT education. Make a gift to MIT Theater here.
Theater at MIT occupies a genuinely distinctive place as a scrupulous artistic program embedded in one of the world’s greatest research universities. Here, theater-making is viewed as both a mode of intellectual inquiry and a means of human expression.
The students who come through our program are engineers, scientists, humanists, inventors, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, and courageous artists who use theatrical tools to ask hard questions, sit with ambiguities, and engage with the human dimensions of complex quandaries with passion, zeal, and empathy. They leave through our doors with a more deeply embodied presence, greater visual acuity, and the wherewithal to forge sincere human connections in the adventures of their lives.
Our work is ambitious, and your support makes it possible.. The research and creative projects developed by our faculty reach venues around the world, and our students are trained not just alongside those works in the studio but often directly contribute to the projects themselves.
Supporting MIT Theater is an investment in the future leaders of our shared realities. With chutzpah, humanity, and heart, we are principled upon the belief that art-making provides not only the fundamental skillsets for better understanding our world but also the fundamental skillsets for making it that much better. Help us ensure a better tomorrow.
